edig is a knowledge platform which aims to boost expertise in digitalisation in the field of industry.

A knowledge platform involves gathering information in order to enable effective learning. The target group of the knowledge platform is employees operating in Swedish industry, although training providers may also benefit greatly from edig. Relevant fields in industry include development, operation and changes in production.

edig provides inspiration from a number of operations across a wide range of industrial companies and in-depth information with findings from research and development projects.

Running from December 2016 to November 2018, the edig project is included in Vinnova’s project portfolio in the programme entitled The Smart Digital Factory, which forms part of Vinnova’s governmental mission to promote the digitalisation of Swedish industry.

edig is an abbreviation of e-learning, digitalisation, industry and global collaboration.

The target group is employees operating within Swedish industry, including operators, maintenance and production engineers in companies, management and various training providers.
